Our Courses

The inspection course programs we offer include a comprehensive curriculum designed to give credibility to the inspector.  All courses are taught with the student in mind.  The knowledge and abilities essential to perform basic skills involving different aspects of inspection are acquired by the student throughout these courses.  After the course and upon successful qualification and testing to the requirements for each exam, students will receive either National Certification or a Course Completion Certificate, depending on which course(s) a student participates in.  Individuals taking any of our courses will enhance their careers by qualifying for advancement in certain areas. Industries in which program graduates may be employable include: refineries, chemical plants, marine/offshore, pipeline, etc.

American Welding Society (AWS)
Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) Preparatory Course

Our CWI Preparatory Course is designed to help the student, who has a background in the design, fabrication, and/or inspection of welding, pass the AWS CWI Examination. The course material closely follows the AWS CWI “Body of Knowledge” for a categorical breakdown on each of the three (3) sections covered by the CWI Examination.  Upon passing the examination, the student will receive a nationally recognized certification, that will be active for three years.

510 Pressure Vessel Inspector Preparatory Course

Our API 510 Preparatory Course is beneficial for those interested in performing internal and external pressure vessel inspections pass the API 510 Certification Exam.  The course material covers an extensive range of topics, as outlined by the API 510 “Body of Knowledge,” relating to maintenance, inspection, repair, and alteration of pressure vessels.  After passing the 510 examination, the student will receive a nationally recognized certification, which will be active for three years.

570 Pressure Piping Inspector Preparatory Course

Our API 570 Preparatory Course is helpful for those interested in performing inspections on piping assemblies and related components to pass the API 570 Certification Exam.  The course material covers a vast range of topics relating to maintenance, inspection, alteration, and repair of in-service metallic piping systems, as outlined by the API 570 “Body of Knowledge.”  The student will receive a nationally recognized certification, that will be active for three years, upon passing the 570 examination.

653 Storage Tank Inspector Preparatory Course

Our API 653 Preparatory Course is beneficial for helping those interested in performing inspections on aboveground storage tanks to pass the API 653 Certification Exam.  The course material covers a broad range of topics, as outlined by the API 653 “Body of Knowledge,” relating to tank inspection, alteration, reconstruction and repair of aboveground storage tanks.  After passing the 653 examination, the student will receive a nationally recognized certification, which will be active for three years.

1169 Pipeline Inspector Preparatory Course

Our API 1169 Preparatory Course is intended to prepare Pipeline Welding Inspectors, Engineers, Supervisors, NDT personnel, and those who wish to understand pipeline QA/QC to pass the API 1169 Certification Exam. The course material covers inspector responsibilities, personnel and general pipeline safety, environmental and pollution control, and general pipeline construction inspection, as outlined by the API 1169 “Body of Knowledge.” After passing the 1169 examination, the student will receive a nationally recognized certification, which will be active for three years.
