The Practical section represents the two hour hands-on examination for the AWS CWI Exam. Part B is made up of 46 questions on being able to use visual inspection and measurement tools, evaluate weld replicas with representative discontinuities and defects, employ welding qualification documents, and visually inspect welds using representative specifications. This part of the exam requires you to use the AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) Part B Practical Examination Book of Specifications, Volume III Exhibits book, as well as the tool kit and plastic weld replicas.
